Janine is proudly neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQIAP+ affirming. Janine is a member of the Australian Association of Psychology (AAPI). She is accredited with SIRA for WorkCover and CTP injury clients and a member of the League of Autistic Psychologists and Affirming Colleagues (LOAPAC). Janine obtained a Master of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology (First Class Honours) from Macquarie University. She also holds a Bachelor of Business. Her research on cognitive bias modification to reduce anxiety, stress and depression has been published in a peer-reviewed journal. 

Janine has worked with all age-groups on a wide range of client concerns in a variety of settings. Her experience includes facilitating in-patient and out-patient (day) group programs and providing individual therapy in at Northern Beaches Hospital. She has supported people through mental health crises at Lifeline, mentored high school students through Raise Foundation and worked with families through the Cool Kids Anxiety Program at Macquarie University. 

Janine aims to create a non-judgemental, empathetic and calm space for clients to explore their concerns in a safe and supported way, and to develop skills to cope and thrive when faced with life challenges. She is passionate about early intervention to support client mental health and taking the time to fully discover client concerns. Janine values an open, collaborative approach to therapy.

Janine works with clients aged 11+ years on concerns such as anxiety, stress, depression, adjustment, relationships, work-related issues and trauma. She also provides support for concerns related to developmental differences (such as autism, attention, hyperactivity and ADHD), chronic health (such as allergies and autoimmune conditions) and personality vulnerabilities. 

Janine uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Polyvagal approaches in therapy. She continues to upskill through engaging in training, awareness of recent research and valuing lived experience.
