Lisa is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Masters in Organisational Psychology from the University of Queensland. Lisa has also lectured in Psychology.
Lisa brings a dynamic mix of experiences from working across both organisational and clinical settings. This mix, along with her own personal experience juggling the corporate world and a busy home life, has allowed Lisa to develop a genuine understanding of the many varied life impacts on mental health. Lisa works predominantly with late adolescents and adults, helping them to cope with the stressors and ups and downs of everyday life. This includes helping clients to understand and manage depression, stress, trauma, anxiety, loss, fears, career or work problems, emotional distress or relationship difficulties. She is also accredited with SIRA for WorkCover and CTP injury clients.
Lisa also has a particular interest in helping people to overcome social anxiety and make career decisions. Lisa takes a warm and engaging approach to focus on supporting people to manage a range of issues that are impacting their overall sense of well-being or are holding them back in their life or career. Lisa embraces a range of evidence-based psychological therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Lisa is a mum of three humans and two canines, and she is passionate about keeping fit with distance walking and the gym.
