Alex is a registered psychologist undertaking her clinical psychology registrar program and is a member of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).
Alex prioritises creating an inclusive, warm and collaborative therapeutic environment, working with children, teens, and adults across diverse backgrounds and life stages. She tailors treatment to each individual’s needs and circumstances, offering strategies to manage challenges, build on strengths, and move toward personally meaningful goals.
Alex has worked with all age-groups on a wide range of client concerns in a variety of settings. Her experience includes co-facilitating in-patient and out-patient group programs and providing individual therapy through the public hospital system. She has experience working in community and private clinics providing individualised therapy, ADHD assessment and contributed to feeding assessments in a multidisciplinary team.
She works with a broad range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, adjustment difficulties, ADHD, Autism, OCD, disordered eating, self-esteem, and relational issues.
Alex is passionate about fostering resilience, self-awareness, and psychological growth, with particular interests in mood and anxiety disorders, neurodivergence, and trauma. She works from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective and is committed to supporting clients in developing a positive and sustainable relationship with their bodies.
Alex takes a compassionate and evidence-based approach, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), as well as attachment-informed and trauma-informed frameworks.
Outside of her clinical work, Alex enjoys playing soccer, ultimate frisbee and pickleball, game nights with friends, and spending time with her dog.
