Kim is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Kim holds a Masters degree in Business Science from the University of Cape Town, an Honours degree in Adult Education, a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Psychology & Business) and a Diploma in Counselling. Kim is a Board approved supervisor.
With over 20 years of experience in a range of clinical and corporate settings, Kim has a thorough knowledge of juggling work and life challenges. She has a Level 3 certification in Gottman relationship counselling, is accredited with SIRA for WorkCover and CTP injury clients and is experienced in complex health (including perinatal/postpartum pregnancy counselling). Kim is warm, approachable and compassionate. She assists clients dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, work and personal relationships, career transition and navigating the “busy-ness” of life.
Kim uses an eclectic approach of Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Kim is an experienced facilitator and regularly presents at workshops and conferences, especially in the areas of Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Kim is a wife, mom of two teenagers, one fur-baby, and a keen swimmer and traveller.
