Katie is a fully qualified Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, a member of the Australian Psychological Society, and an accredited SIRA provider for WorkCover and CTP injury clients. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) with Honours, and a Master of Professional Psychology from Macquarie University. She is also an accredited provider of the Cool Kids Anxiety Program developed by Macquarie University.
Katie has more than 20 years of experience across clinical and organisational settings. Beginning her career in corporate roles, she brings practical business and leadership experience to her understanding of workplace and career challenges. In addition to her private practice work, she has provided counselling at Lifeline, delivered occupational rehabilitation counselling, mentored high school students through the Raise Foundation, conducted psychological assessments for veterans, and facilitated workplace resilience programs.
Katie approaches sessions with warmth and compassion, creating a safe space where clients can explore their concerns and feel supported in reaching their treatment goals. She works with older adolescents and adults on issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, career and life transitions, relationship difficulties, and interpersonal challenges. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, Katie tailors treatment to each client’s individual needs.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys time with family and friends, walks with her dog, ocean swims, getting lost in a good book, and planning her next travel adventure.
