Therapy Fees and Appointments
Below is all the information you will need before your upcoming appointment with your psychologist.
Appointments
Standard appointments run for 50 minutes. Appointments are available Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm. You do not need a referral from a Doctor to make an appointment. However, if you would like to claim Medicare rebates from your initial appointment, please ensure you see your GP prior to the first appointment to obtain a referral letter and Mental Health Care Plan.
Medicare Rebates
Under the Medicare Better Access Scheme, individuals receiving psychological treatment are eligible for a rebate ranging from $98.95 to $145.25 per session for up to 10 sessions each calendar year. In order to obtain these rebates, a Mental Health Care Plan (form 2710) is needed from your G.P.
